CANTERBURY — A 17-calendar year-outdated university student from Plainfield Significant College was pronounced useless following the auto he was driving struck a utility pole in Canterbury early Saturday, according to Connecticut State Law enforcement.
A passenger in the car or truck, a 16-yr-outdated boy from Moosup, was hospitalized with significant accidents, police reported.
The crash happened as Andrew William Vincent, of Plainfield, was driving a 2008 Audi A4 north on H2o Road early Saturday, law enforcement claimed. When he arrived upon a curve in the road, his motor vehicle drifted from his lane and struck a utility pole on the correct shoulder, law enforcement explained.
The utility pole snapped, downing wires, in accordance to an incident report from state police.
State police mentioned they were referred to as to the crash scene at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday.
Vincent sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced useless at the scene, the incident report said.
The 16-12 months-old boy from Mossup endured major accidents and was airlifted to Hartford Medical center, according to the incident report.
The crash triggered “disabling damage” to the car or truck, which was towed from the scene, state police stated.
Plainfield Large College Principal Christopher Bitgood confirmed that Vincent was a pupil at the college.
