HOUSTON – Houston Police Office officials say a person who was armed with a knife died in law enforcement custody Saturday afternoon.
According to authorities, officers had been identified as to the 9700 block of Beechnut Road about the person. HPD officers say when they arrived, they found a male performing erratically in the center of the avenue.
Officers say prior to they arrived on the scene, witnesses claimed looking at the man inside of a fuel station, throwing factors all about the shop, and rolling on the ground.
Authorities say the gentleman somehow attained a knife prior to likely outside the house and jumping in and out of site visitors with the weapon in hand.
When officers arrived close to 1:47 p.m., they say they identified the gentleman on the ground outside. Officers then reportedly placed him in handcuffs and in a police device.
Original reports propose the guy was strike by a car whilst on the floor, on the other hand, that is however remaining investigated.
Moments later, the male commenced reportedly foaming at the mouth while in custody prior to he turned blue, in accordance to HPD Assistant Chief Ban Tien.

Medics at the scene were being explained to have tried daily life-preserving measures, on the other hand, the man was pronounced lifeless at the scene.
An HPD Distinctive Investigations Unit is investigating.
